| It was a quiet week in terms of news flow and stock movement until today. This is no surprise as we enter the last few weeks of the summer, and volume typically drops off into Labor Day. Friday did bring some big news, though, as Powell spoke at the annual Jackson Hole economic conference. He opened the door for rate cuts to begin as soon as next month. This led to new highs in the DOW; it’s up 900 points as I am writing this. Financials, REITs, and Consumer Discretionary led the way. Enjoy the light reading, and have a great weekend. |
