Common Questions
How often do companies report earnings?
Most publicly traded companies report earnings once every quarter. That’s when they update investors on how the business is doing—things like revenue, profits, and where they think the company is headed. It’s one of the best ways to see what’s actually happening inside the businesses you own.
What key metrics matter most to you?
We like growth. The first two numbers we look at are revenue and earnings—in other words, sales and profits. Is the company selling more? Is it making more money? That’s a great place to start. From there, we’ll dig deeper into other areas, but healthy, growing businesses usually start with growing sales and growing profits.
Why do earnings matter?
Earnings give investors a chance to look under the hood. They show us how a company is doing—whether sales are growing, profits are increasing, and if the business is moving in the right direction. One quarter doesn’t tell the whole story, but over time earnings can tell us a lot.
Remember This:
When companies talk, we listen.
